Are you curious about improving your emotional intelligence? But have no idea how it works?
Here’s the 5 step guide to how it works at La Dolce Vita…
Step one: Introductions & Spark Session
First, we will have an upfront meeting or call to get to know each other either face to face, phone or Zoom depending on your location. This is where you get to ask all the questions you have about me, emotional intelligence and how it might work for you and your goals.

Step two: Emotional intelligence profile
I will send you a link to the emotional intelligence profile tool where you answer a series of questions that will unveil your current emotional intelligence profile. It takes around 45 minutes and will touch on all 16 areas of the emotional intelligence profile framework. There are no right or wrong answers, don’t dwell on the questions. Use your gut instinct and go with what feels right.
Step three: Your first coaching session
Once you have completed the questionnaire, I will receive a report which outlines your full Emotional Intelligence Profile. You will get a copy of this comprehensive report too. It summarises your position on the Emotional Intelligence behavioural and attitudinal map. It will also include:
- A headline view on your profile within each of the 16 EI competencies
- A deep dive into each competency with suggestions for areas that you could work on
- Your three strongest EI areas
- Your three areas of weakness
We will sit down and review this in an extended session, you get to explore this in as much or as little detail as you like.
Step four: Emotional Intelligence boosting action plan!
You decide what you want to do with what comes up. See where you want to go within what comes up, then get super charged/focused about your next steps. Some people look at the gaps and aren’t practically or emotionally ready yet, so they come back to it a few months or even years later. Others jump straight in and do an intensive 6+ months of shifting with varying levels of support. It’s entirely up to you what you push and when.
Step five: Resilience Boosting Coaching
Exploring your Emotional Intelligence Profile will be slightly different to other coaching that you may have had. We still dig deep, but because it’s often around habits, attitudes and behaviours that have formed over a very long time the time in between calls is important. Most people need time to explore what comes up and see how changes may play out in their world before regrouping. Time to try things on is probably the simplest way to describe it. We can absolutely speak in-between times, but the primary coaching sessions are in two-hour blocks every month.
