Do You Use Hypnosis and What Is It?
Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state that everybody experiences something similar to on an everyday basis. Just before we go to sleep at night (when we are half awake and half asleep) and just before waking up in the morning are similar to hypnotic states. If you have ever been so absorbed when you are reading a book that you don’t hear someone calling your name or lose track of time, or if you daydream then these are all similar states to hypnosis.
Most people’s experience of hypnosis is a state of focused relaxation that they enjoy. We use a little bit of hypnotic relaxation followed by some guided imagery to enter into a past life.
Will I See Everything That Is Going on in the Past Life?
Unlikely, you might experience visually, or kinesthetically (feeling), have a knowing, get a generalized sense or combination of all of them. Don’t expect it to unfold like a Hollywood movie as past lives rarely happen like that. Most people use a variety of the inner senses during these guided sessions, in the same way they use a variety of their outer senses in daily life. Remember the imagination can sometimes be subtle, so relax and pay attention to your inner world.
Can Anyone Go Into a Past Life?
In theory, yes. There are reasons why people may be blocked from entering past lives, but normally that relates to more traumatic lives and that is not our intention today.
Will I Have Awareness of Sounds Around Me?
Yes, some awareness, however, your practitioner will make helpful hypnotic suggestions to reduce your awareness of sounds, and most people barely notice them as they are more focused on their Inner World.
Will I Be Able to Talk to You During the Session?
Definitely. In fact, the more you communicate to the therapist the story and what is happening to you, the more they will be able to encourage you in the flow of that story.
What Do I Have to Do During the Session?
You don’t actually have to do anything, other than to relax and tell the therapist whatever you are experiencing.
Do I Lose Control During the Session?
No. Although you might be experiencing another subtle reality, you will still have control over your normal everyday functions. And a little bit of room awareness.
Do You Have Any Other Tips?
Avoid analysing the life/thinking “Is this real” until after the session – simply allow the story to flow as much as possible, and analyse afterwards.
Avoid trying too hard – again this also engages the analytical part of the mind
